    Make sure that the corduroy ribs on the undercollar form a chevron when you sew them together -- this will help ensure that the undercollar is on the bias.

  • Pin back to fronts at shoulders with right sides together, matching notches ( figure A). Sew.

  • Pin back to side backs and stitch. Press seam allowances open, clipping as needed. Serge.

  • Stay-stitch neck edge. Stitch center back seam of corduroy undercollar and interface.

  • Cut undercollar on bias. Pin undercollar to neck edge of jacket, right sides together. Stitch on between circles, clipping while sewing. Cut interfacing close to stitching. Press seam allowances on back toward collar between clips.
