Clip a pair of earrings to the toes for an instant touch of glamour.

Shoe designer Vanessa Noel uses a variety of decorations to dress up shoes--some of which have sold for thousands of dollars. The shoes are made from white peau de soie or satin. All are available through the Vanessa Noel White Collection catalog.

Take a look at some of Vanessa's unique creations.

Have a cobbler stitch a small tab to the inside of the shoe toe. String pearls through the tab, and crisscross them around your ankles.

Use silk, lace, old jewelry or antique brackets to decorate your shoes.

Use clip-on earrings to add an touch of instant glamour. Shoe-clip backings can be purchased at millinery stores. Just hot-glue bows, earrings or jewels to the backings and clip onto shoes. For a different look, clip bows to the sides of shoes, not just the front.

Look for inexpensive decorations at flea markets.

Use fabric markers and fabric paints to add any design you like.
