    In this first segment of "Lunchbox," host Dena Fishbein demonstrates how to give your plain jeans a fabulous fashion style.

    Host Dena Fishbein shows you how to add flower power to your jeans.
    Materials --

    1 pair of jeans
    1 fine-point black permanent marker
    Jacquard textile colors in #118 olive green and #123 white
    Lumiere #552 bright gold paint
    Small round brush
    Iron

    Painted Jeans

    1. Use the permanent marker to draw daisies and leafs along the edge on the top pockets and around the bottoms of each leg (figure A).

    2. Fill in the flower petals with white textile paint.

    3. Use the gold paint for the centers of the daisies and green for the leaves (figure B). Let dry.

      Note: Tile paints do not require a fabric painting medium.

    4. Iron according to the paint manufacturer's directions to heat-set the paint.
