Materials:10" clay pot 12" clay pot 14" clay pot 17" diameter clay saucer Liquid Nails, silicone adhesive or heavy-duty outdoor glue terra-cotta paints (e.g., Patio Paints by DecoArt) paintbrushes clear satin polyurethane or acrylic sealer 1. Invert and stack the pots together, starting with the largest pot on the bottom to create a stable base. Glue the pots together with Liquid Nails or silicone adhesive (figure A).
2. Attach the saucer to the top pot, making sure it is centered and level (figure B). The bath can now be used or decorated.
3. Use foam stamps and terra-cotta paints to decorate the pots (figure C). Add freeform details with paintbrushes or fingers and let dry (figure D).
4. Apply a clear spray sealer to the exterior of the painted pots. Do not apply spray sealer to the basin of the birdbath. Note: Our pots were painted before being gluing together; if you choose this method of decorating, we recommend that you stack the inverted pots first to find the perfect placement for the stamps.
