    PHOTO

    Surround your photo with ribbon.
Ribbons can add another dimension to your fiber projects and come in a large variety of colors, textures, widths, and patterns. Here, Emily Adams uses ribbon to create a tailored border to photos or journaling.

    Download the Ribbon Border pattern.

    Needle Threader
    Materials:

    ribbon
    large needle threader
    scissors
    craft knife
    ruler
    ribbon border pattern (above)
    light box

    1. Place pattern on light box to trace cuffing lines - make lines 1/4-inch longer than the width of the ribbon.

    2. To cut slits in cardstock, put mat on light box and flip paper over so that the penciled lines are on the hidden side and trace the lines using a craft knife and a ruler.

    3. Starting at the bottom, weave ribbon in and out around the square using needle threader (leaving plenty of slack to tie a bow). Tie to finish.

Ribbon Photo Corners: Make your own elegant ribbon photo corners. The trick is to attach the ribbon to the photo before you adhere it to the page.

    Materials:

    ribbon
    scissors
    scrapbooking tape

    1. Wrap ribbon around corners of photo and tack to back using scrapbooking tape.

    2. Attach photo to scrapbooking page using tape.
