Fashion Doll Furniture Ideas- It's easy to make a table for the dolls out of scraps of wood and small blocks. Use a dab of wood glue to secure the legs to the table, then paint or leave natural. Look for interesting-shaped blocks to give the furniture some designer style (figure A).
Create a vanity table by gluing some foam blocks together as a base, giving it a fabric cover and skirt, and attaching a tiny mirror to the top (figure B)Hit the scrap bag for interesting bits of fabric that are too small for other uses. Hot-glue fabric around rolled-up cylinders of batting to create rounded cushions. Cover small blocks with batting, glue scraps of wood on the bottom for legs and top with the tiny bolsters for overstuffed chairs and sofas (figure C).
Fashion dolls always have lots of clothes and accessories. Stow yours in a freestanding closet: Cover a small box with pieces of a bamboo placemat for an Asian-influenced armoire (figure D). B.
