Daisy PensTools:
store-bought pens
spring green velvet ribbon, 1-1/2 yards per pen
decorative ribbon, 1/2 yard per pen
beaded daisy flowers, 3 per pen (available at the craft store wedding section)
hot glue (mini glue gun works best)
1. Remove and discard the cap from the pen. Wrap three beaded daisies around the top (the non-writing end) of the pen. Loop the wired stems of the daisies around the shaft of the pen (figure A). Secure with a drop of hot glue.
2. Beginning at the top of the pen and covering the wrapped wires, hot-glue the velvet ribbon around the top (figure B). Work your way down the pen wrapping and gluing the velvet ribbon on a slight angle until you reach the ink end.
3. When you reach the ink end, twist the ribbon back onto itself. Wrap and hot glue the ribbon back up to the top end of the pen. This will create a more finished look. Wrap the end of the ribbon around the pen at the base of the flowers and hot glue in place.
4. Working with the decorative ribbon, add a finishing bow to the top of the pen around the base of the beaded flowers. Repeat steps for each party favor.
