Don't trash those travel treasures. Take them out of your pocket, and put them into a pocket page!

    Download the step-by-step instructions.

What could be more appropriate for storing travel memorabilia than a pocket page designed to look like a suitcase? Scrapbooking host Michele Gerbrandt gets creative with acid-free paper and adhesive in this simple scrapbooking project.

    Materials:

scrapbook page or acid-free paper (to create base of pocket)
    brown and cream acid-free paper
    craft knife or scissors
    photo-safe adhesive
    ruler
    pencil
    black journaling pen
stamps, stickers or memorabilia to decorate

    1. Cut the brown paper to the same width as the scrapbook page and half the height (illustration, steps 1-6).

    2. Cut and adhere strips to the pocket to look like straps and buckles.

    3. Draw stitching with a black journaling pen around the strips.

    4. Use a circle template to trace two half-circles (one larger and one smaller) to create a handle. Cut out the handle and attach to the suitcase.

    5. Apply adhesive edges of back of suitcase and adhere to scrapbook page.

    6. Decorate suitcase as desired.
