On the finished page, the journaling cards actually pivot from beneath the photos. Because of this ...

... it's important to secure the eyelets properly so that there is minimal attachment of the framed photo and journaling card.

After randomly attaching the fibers, write words that captures the essence of the photo subject or page theme.

Jill Miller catches a wave -- on her scrapbook page. Check out her technique!

    Materials:

    12' x 12" sheet of teal cardstock
12" x 12" sheet of wave print photo paper
2- 8-1/2" x 11" sheets of white and blue wavy corrugated paper
    Rectangular frame or die-cut
    Blue glitter pen
    Blue and silver pigment cream
    Fixative
4 Star brads, 16 silver eyelets and eyelet hole punch and setter
    Blue threads/fibers
    Small seashells
    Foam tape
    Glue

    1. Die-cut 5 wavy blue and 5 wavy white rectangle frames. Set aside centers of all frames for mounting of photos and journaling later.

    2. Rub sapphire blue and silver metallic cream to accent blue wavy rectangle frames. Spray with fixative. Hole punch and set eyelets on opposing corners and punch hole for silver brads in third corner of each frame. Align white frames with blue frames and punch brad hole into white frame.

    3. Place frames on mounted wave photo print and teal papers and punch brad hole through background papers to secure frames to page.

    4. Mount 4 wallet size photos to back surface of 4 white wavy frame center rectangles and insert into 4 metallic blue/silver wavy frames. Insert centers of blue wavy frames into center of white wavy frames and add journaling with blue pen.

Open white frame slightly and add seashells to lower corner of each white frame. Secure blue frames to background paper under opposite corners (do not secure offset white frame, this allows the white frame to pivot open to expose journaling.) Connect frames with blue threads through eyelet corners.

    5. To create title block, hole punch and set 8 silver eyelets in a random fashion. Thread with criss-cross lines to create spaces for words. Insert last remaining white frame center and tape on backside of frame. Fill larger spaces with titles and glue on small seashells into thin, tiny spaces. Add white seashells to top and bottom of title block frame and mount in center with foam tape to overlap all 4 frames.
